Appliances come down to personal preference. Are you a minimalist who doesn’t need anything aside from a few lights? Or are you going to deck out your van with a fridge, stove, heater, and all the accessories? In this section, we’ll cover a few of my personal favorite appliances, as well as other popular options recommended by the van community.

Nicely priced 12/24v fridge, about 3.2 cubic ft
The Truck Fridge TF 130 is the fridge I have put in 3 of the last 4 vans. 4.2 cubic ft. but often not on Amazon
Top loaders aren’t my favorite but they are the best options for many kitchen layouts.
Another popular option
Slide-out tray
12 x 20 inch 2 burner. Induction cooktops use a lot of power
Pretty much the smallest oven, works great but additional bake time is usually needed.
3 burners and a higher quality oven.
The OG coleman stove, loved by dirtbags everywhere.
A refillable propane tank + hose is recommended for all stove options.
If you’re tight on space
Simple, cheap cook top with multiple burner options.
Propane detector, sleep in peace.
Little 1.3 gallon tanks. Perfect way to graduate from the little green cans. I used one for the oven and one for the heater in my first 2 vans
3.7 gallon tank. Perfect size for vans really. This is in my newest van. Only 12.5 inches tall
This is the heater I used for years, good cheap option. Works with little green tanks or refillable tanks
Top of the line Webasto gasoline heater. Cheap Chinese knockoffs exsist
Top of the line Webasto diesel heater. (avoid cheap Chinese knockoffs)
